City won the game with a 4-0 scoreline in the first leg. The second leg was a much more controlled game where City scored a goal through Riyad Mahrez that put the tally to 5-3.

However, Manchester City fell apart in the last 10 minutes of the game when Benzema scored a goal. Rodrygo came on from the bench for Real Madrid and scored a brace which sent City packing. Since they have not won the FA Cup, League Cup, or the Champions League this season, City cannot afford to miss out on the Premier League.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa had a difficult start to the season initially. They were having a bad run of games under Dean Smith, who brought them into the Premier League after getting promoted from the Championship. He was finally sacked in November, and Aston Villa appointed Steven Gerrard as their manager.

Steven Gerrard was the coach of Ranger FC in the Scottish Premier League before he had joined Aston Villa. He won the Scottish Premier League with Rangers for the first time in 10 years.
